HANDLING: AIR CARGO, SEA CARGO, INDUSTRIAL CARGO
As a multi-logistics platform with a wide range of services, F&S offers handling, warehousing and storage assistance for the following different types of goods: air, sea and industrial.
AIR CARGO (READY FOR CARRIAGE)
F&S, through ENAC (Ente Nazionale per L’Aviazione Civile – National Civil Aviation Authority) authorizations, offers the following services for goods destined to airlines at our facilities:
- Booking verification
- Acceptance of goods with registration of incoming goods via F&S Cargo platform visible to the customer in real-time (Photo, Dimensions etc.) and registration of outgoing goods
- Data entry via platforms integrated with those of the airlines for sending EDI Messages
- Verification of packaging suitability and/or any irregularities
- Verification of volume and dimensions
- Weighing and labelling services
- Security services with X-Ray machines; ETDS method; Visual/Manual Inspection
- Packaging with consumable materials
- Construction and dismantling of air cargo units (lower deck and main deck)
- Active packaging (Envirotainer; C-Safe; Opticooler) and passive packaging (isothermal packaging; Vaq-Tec) for temperature-controlled goods (Food & Pharma)
- DGR merchandise management (e.g. DGR Check)
- Documentation and customs assistance for issuing the necessary documents for the transfer of goods at the airport
- Management of any return of goods not loaded/rejected
- Storage of goods in our own warehouses
SEA CARGO
F&S offers the following services for goods destined for maritime consolidators:
- Booking verification
- Acceptance of goods with registration of incoming goods via F&S Cargo platform visible to the customer in real-time (Photo, Dimensions etc.) and registration of outgoing goods
- Data entry via platforms integrated with the systems used by shipping companies for real-time updates
- Verification of packaging suitability and/or any irregularities
- Labelling and security services
- Packaging with consumable materials
- Determination of the VGM Verified Gross Mass using SOLAS weighing method 1-2
- Containerization of goods in 20’, 40’, 40’ high cube and reefer containers with positive temperatures (+2/+8 and +15/+25)
- IMO cargo lashing as shipper with suitable consumable material in accordance with the regulations in force
- Container emptying
- Management of IMO DGR merchandise (e.g. Lashing of hazardous goods as shipper with suitable consumable material in accordance with the regulations in force)
- Documentation and customs assistance for the issue of documents necessary for the transfer of goods to the port
- Management of any return of goods not loaded/rejected
- Storage of goods in our own warehouses
Through our software platform, F&S is able to monitor and allow our customers to monitor incoming and outgoing goods.
The ISO 9001:2015 quality system is a very important certification obtained by F&S for the management of general cargo loose/pallet and hazardous goods at our facilities. This demonstrates the quality service provided by this company with regard to the Handling service for these types of goods.

In addition to the certifications obtained by F&S over the years, the competent and qualified staff completes the context and demonstrates the quality and professionalism of this company and the services offered.
With a Head Office in Vignate and four other branches (Liscate, Malpensa, Bologna and Florence), we are able to cover an area of about 100,000 sqm, space which is suitable for handling and/or storing even large quantities and/or bulky goods. For this purpose, in order to protect our customers’ goods, F&S has the latest generation surveillance system in operation 24/7. In 2009, we received an award from one of our most prestigious customers, Lufthansa Cargo, as “Best Secure Station”. A few years later, in 2014 to be more precise, we obtained TAPA FSR (Transported Asset Protection Association Facility Security Requirements) certification for our high-security standards.
